Inanna is the Great winged Mother Goddess from Sumerian times, the Queen of Heaven.
She was one of the first embodiments of the Great Cosmic Mother, Sekinah, in ancient human civilisation.
Often represented by her 5 pointed star, Inanna is accompanied by Lions and Owls, symbols of her wisdom, empowerment and self-mastery, but also of her connection with Lyra, Venus and Sirius lineages.
The myth of Inanna describes her descent into the Underworld as she crosses 7 gates of initiation to meet again with her sister Ereshkigal. It is a journey and story of personal empowerment; the journey that the soul experiences to meet itself and the path that ultimately one must walk in order to attain self-mastery. She embodies the Feminine Christed Self.
Inanna embodies all aspects of the Divine Feminine: loving, healing, nurturing, sensual but also powerfully assertive, fierce, and combative whenever needed. She was as worshipped for her Divine Mother qualities as a goddess of love and fertility as she was feared for her warrior qualities as a goddess of war and destruction (much like Kali in hinduism).
